Amarillo, Texas Comprehensive Ophthalmologist Job | High Volume Surgery Position - Private Practice Opportunity – Partnership Option - $500K+ Base with a $100K Sign On
This is a tremendous opportunity to work with a first-class ophthalmology practice in a community that has a legitimate need. We are looking for a comprehensive ophthalmologist / high volume cataract surgeon to replace a retired ophthalmologist at our growing practice.
You will be busy right away, inheriting clinical and surgical volume from a well-regarded ophthalmologist. This is a high volume, high efficiency practice – We anticipate that by the end of your 2nd year, you will be doing over 1,000 cataract cases/year. Ophthalmologists with some glaucoma skills or interest is a plus. The region lacks glaucoma surgical help, so there’s a tremendous need for this. No one is doing MIGS within a 100-mile radius. Lots of potential for basic oculoplastics and strabismus procedures as well.
We have a unique practice situation:
- All surgery is done in two iOR office-surgery suites at the convenience of the Surgeons and the patient (There are no “bad hours” or block time hassles at an ASC. You might even be able to do surgery the same day as the patient is in clinic.).
- iOR office-surgery suite buy-in is more affordable compared to ASC buy-in.
- We have a Physician Assistant to help with minor procedures, pre/post—op care, and light adjustable lens treatments.
- No call (except for patients of the practice).
- Opportunity for regular cataract surgery mission trips to Congo and/or Nicaragua.
